Individual Psychotherapy
Individual psychotherapy is a unique opportunity to explore how you engage with the world and relate to the people around you.
At Empatical, we understand that everyone comes to therapy for different reasons, with unique needs and expectations. That’s why our experienced therapists tailor their approach to meet you where you are, providing the support and guidance necessary for self-discovery and positive change.
You can choose to meet with a therapist in person in Warsaw's Żoliborz district or opt for online therapy sessions. The decision is yours, and we aim to provide flexibility that suits your lifestyle and preferences.
Individual Psychotherapy - When to Seek Therapy
Individual therapy can be a powerful tool for self-discovery and emotional well-being. You may consider seeking therapy if you experience:
- Ongoing feelings of sadness or anxiety that interfere with daily life.
- Difficulty managing stress, overwhelming emotions, or feelings of hopelessness.
- Challenges in relationships with friends, family, or colleagues that are causing distress.
- Lack of self-confidence or difficulty accepting yourself.
- Feeling stuck or unsure about your life direction and seeking personal growth or change.
- Physical symptoms (e.g., chronic pain, fatigue, sleep issues) that are linked to emotional or psychological struggles.
If you're uncertain whether therapy is right for you, remember that even small challenges that impact your daily life are worth addressing. Therapy offers a space to better understand yourself and work through whatever obstacles you're facing.
What to Expect from Therapy:
- A safe, empathetic space to explore your thoughts and emotions.
- Insights into how your past experiences shape your present interactions.
- Tools and strategies to navigate life’s challenges with more awareness and resilience.
- A process that encourages personal growth and self-acceptance.
I am a certified psychotherapist accredited by the European Association of Gestalt Therapy (EAGT), having completed a four-year psychotherapy training program in the Gestalt approach. I also hold a postgraduate degree in Marriage and Couples Therapy.
I provide individual therapy for adults as well as couples therapy. I work in both Polish and English.
I regularly take part in training programs, workshops, and courses to deepen my knowledge in psychology and psychotherapy. I strive to gain a broader understanding of the world, its phenomena, changes, and interconnections.
By education, I am both a social worker and a linguist, and I graduated from the University of Warsaw.
I have collaborated with the Women’s Rights Centre, where I provided individual support to clients and facilitated a support group for women who experienced violence. I also have experience working with so-called expats - people who either choose or are assigned to live abroad for a shorter or longer period. Such a major change in adult life often requires adaptation and can trigger feelings of loss and loneliness.
I welcome individuals who experience stress in their personal or professional lives, who are victims of violence, or who feel powerless. I listen attentively to my clients and approach them with authenticity. Creating a sense of safety and understanding is central to my work.
In therapy, I integrate knowledge and experience from different fields. Following Viktor Frankl, I believe that “a human being is not entirely subject to external conditions and influences, but consciously decides whether to submit to or resist them. In other words, one has unlimited freedom of self-determination. One not only exists but constantly shapes one’s own existence, defining who one is at any given moment and who one will be in the next.” Helping clients discover their freedom of self-determination - to be who they truly are - is, for me, the essence of therapy.
On a personal note, I am a mother of a teenager, a wife, and the owner of two cats. I have been living in Switzerland for five years.
At Empatical, I offer psychotherapy both online and in person at my practice in Zurich, Switzerland.
For me, psychotherapy is first and foremost a relationship. I believe that respect, acceptance, empathy, trust, and genuine engagement are the foundations that allow healing and growth to happen.
I practice integrative psychotherapy, which means I draw from different methods and approaches to tailor the process to your individual needs. I feel especially close to the humanistic perspective, which places the person—their story, emotions, and potential—at the very center.
Over the years, I have completed trainings in Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, crisis intervention, and trauma therapy. I also bring experience as an art therapist, social skills trainer, and intercultural educator. Thanks to this variety of tools, I can adapt the work to what will best support you.
I offer individual therapy for adults who may be experiencing:
-
difficulties in personal or professional relationships
-
stress, burnout, or major life changes
-
feelings of helplessness, confusion, or low self-esteem
-
emotional pain, grief, or loss
-
anxiety, depression, or unresolved inner conflicts
-
the impact of trauma or repeating patterns that get in the way of fulfilling relationships and personal growth
Therapy is not only for times of crisis. I also welcome people who simply want to know themselves better and improve the quality of their lives.
I work in Polish, English, Ukrainian, and Russian, both in person and online. My work is supported by regular supervision.
